Police Department
Established in 1993, the Oneida Indian Nation Police Department is responsible for the safety of Nation Members, residents of Oneida and Madison Counties, the millions of annual visitors to the Oneida Indian Nation’s numerous businesses, including Turning Stone Resort Casino, YBR Casino and Sports Book, Point Place Casino Hotel, The Lake House at Sylvan Beach, The Cove at Sylvan Beach, Maple Leaf Market and SavOn convenience stores and more, as well as the more than 5,200 team members who work at the Oneida Indian Nation’s businesses and government programs and services spanning across 20,000 acres of Nation lands.

The Oneida Indian Nation Police Department is committed to partnerships with local, state and federal law enforcement. These partnerships expanded significantly with the adoption of the historic 2013 Agreement between the Oneida Indian Nation, New York State and Oneida and Madison Counties, which enabled the deputization of Nation police officers by the Oneida and Madison County Sheriff’s Offices. Hailed as a national model for tribal and local public safety coordination, it has significantly increased local on-duty officer availability in local communities.
